Change can look so boring that I may miss it. Take the dishes, for example, they change all the time-- from clean to dirty to clean. Maybe stains are added or subtracted. It is mundane change, yet it is worth celebrating. When life is heavy with bad news or grief of any type, seeing dishes used to nourish ourselves or our families is no small matter. The mundane of dishes can also have a stabilizing factor to help us know what to do next in times of stress and trouble.
