The above photograph was used to sketch the opening "let it go" hands. I often use a photograph to help me see and layout what I want to paint (or draw). I also like to paint from live subject matter. I guess I am a visual learner. I like to see something to understand it. Hearing a complicated mathematical problem yesterday for a math competition, I had to "picture" the problem and found it exciting to imagine it was actually possible to calculate visual phenomena regarding perspective using triangles.
