It has been a while since I have posted anything. I am sad about that, but am also glad I can take a break. Lately, I have been working with letters that my dad wrote during his service in WWII. Ninety plus letters are to his parents, some to his cousins, and a few to my mom. I am letting the letters bring up memories of my dad from years after the War. I am finding it hard and interesting and amazing all at the same time. Here is the first page of one of the first letters from March 1942. I don't have all of them. I have some from MA, SC, NJ, PA, Wash. D.C., CA, and New Guinea. I am seeing my dad as someone with gifts and flaws who was loved by God and others. One day at a time I am on this journey. Thank you for reading. -Linda T. Hurd
